GÖRG Insolvenzverwalter Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB successfully assisted the insolvent Rickmers Reismühle GmbH through the insolvency proceedings conducted under self-administration. Immediately after the opening of the insolvency proceedings on 01.10.2022, the sale of the convenience food division was successful, securing around half of all jobs. The division with around 33 employees is sold to the Italian food manufacturer PEDON.
Rickmers Reismühle is a traditional Bremen company with a good 150-year history. Due to supply bottlenecks and price increases, the company was forced to file for insolvency at the competent Local Court in Bremen in July of this year. The self-administration was prepared, accompanied and managed by GÖRG partners Prof. Dr. Gerrit Hölzle (Bremen) and Dr. Karl-Friedrich Curtze (Hamburg) in the management of Rickmers Reismühle and by the further GÖRG partner Tim Beyer (Bremen).
The Bremen Local Court appointed Dr. Malte Köster (WILLMERKÖSTER law firm) as trustee. With the successful sale of the convenience food division, a traditional Bremen company was secured at its location.
