GÖRG advises Trianel Energieprojekte GmbH & Co. KG on the development and marketing of five solar parks

Cologne, 07.09.2021

GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB has advised Trianel Energieprojekte GmbH & Co. KG (TEP) on the successful development and marketing of a 45.5 megawatt (MW) portfolio of photovoltaic plants. The photovoltaic plants were built on open spaces along railway and motorway routes in Brandenburg and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, and the last plant was connected to the electricity grid on 15 June 2021. The purchasers of the portfolio are badenova WärmePlus GmbH & Co. KG, a subsidiary of the Freiburg-based energy and environmental services provider badenova, and Encavis Infrastructure Fund II, a special fund managed by HANSAINVEST LUX and distributed by Bayerische Landesbank.

The portfolio deal is one of the more significant transactions in the German market in recent years; the marketing of photovoltaic projects in a package with a correspondingly large nominal output is rare. The total investment volume is in the mid double-digit million range. Commenting on the successful conclusion of the transaction, Andreas Lemke, authorised representative of TEP, says: "The five photovoltaic projects have been built using state-of-the-art technology at challenging locations. They are the result of a demanding project planning performance and reflect the great commitment of all those involved. The entire process of planning and the now completed transaction has been accompanied and handled in a very professional and structured manner by our partners Encavis AM and badenova and has contributed significantly to the success of the overall project."

GÖRG, under the lead management of Cologne partners Dr Wibke Schumacher and Jan Schellenberger, accompanied the projects from a very early stage of development, structured the sales process for TEP and comprehensively advised TEP on all legal issues in the context of the sale and construction of the projects.
