GÖRG lawyer Nancy Faeser is appointed as Bundesinnenministerin (Federal Minister of the Interior)

Nancy Faeser, lawyer with GÖRG at the Frankfurt office for many years, has been appointed to the new Federal Government as Bundesinnenministerin (Federal Minister of the Interior). She will be the first woman to hold this position. 

After studying law at Frankfurt's Goethe University and first legal stations, Nancy Faeser joined GÖRG in 2007 as part of Prof. Dr. Lutz Horn's team. She specialises in public procurement law, public commercial law and real estate law. Ms Faeser has been a member of the Hessian state parliament in Wiesbaden since 2003 and has been the head of the Hessian SPD since 2019.

The Executive Management of GÖRG congratulates Nancy Faeser in a joint statement: "That an esteemed colleague from our ranks will become part of the new federal government is an honour for our firm and fills us with pride. We sincerely thank Ms Faeser for her many years of commitment at GÖRG and wish her all the best and much success in her new, big task."
