GÖRG partner Sebastian Krapohl, a lawyer specialising in insolvency and restructuring law, has found a buyer for Hanselmann & Cie. Technologies GmbH in his role as insolvency administrator. Rupp Solutions GmbH from Eppingen has taken over the company with effect from 1 January 2025. This means that the site in Oppenweiler and around 100 jobs have been saved.
In March 2024, Hanselmann & Cie. Technologies filed an application for the opening of insolvency proceedings with the Ludwigsburg Local Court, and insolvency proceedings were opened in June 2024. Business operations were maintained throughout the entire period by GÖRG partner Sebastian Krapohl in order to facilitate a transferring reorganisation of the company.
"I am delighted that I have now achieved a good solution for the company after around ten months of continued operations. During this difficult phase, we were thankfully able to rely on the support of Hanselmann & Cie. Technologies' customers and the commitment of the company's employees. In Rupp Solutions, we have found a strong investor who will retain the site in Oppenweiler with 100 jobs," explained Sebastian Krapohl.
Hanselmann & Cie. Technologies is a specialist for plastics technologies in the injection moulding segment. Its customers include companies from the automotive and mechanical engineering sectors, among others. The main reason for filing for insolvency was the ongoing crisis in the automotive industry, which had also led to a significant drop in sales at Hanselmann & Cie Technologies in recent years. In addition, price pressure, difficult to plan customer call-offs and rising energy and material costs had put the company in financial difficulties.
A transfer company has been set up for around 25 employees of Hanselmann & Cie Technologies, in which the employees can reorient themselves.
The investor Rupp Solutions employs around 80 people in Eppingen in toolmaking and production for the manufacture of high-tech injection moulding. The company's portfolio includes mould making, functional housings, assemblies, 2-component parts and the corresponding services. Rupp Solutions is part of the Deutsche Kunststoff Solutions (DKS) Group.
GÖRG was supported by the management consultancy allea consult, which advised the insolvency administrator on business management and reorganisation issues. The investor process was supported by the management consultancy FalkenSteg Corporate Finance GmbH.
