GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB advised N-ERGIE Regenerativ GmbH, a subsidiary of N-ERGIE Aktiengesellschaft, and Regnitzstromverwertung Aktiengesellschaft on the sale of Bioerdgas Eggolsheim GmbH. The buyer is Erste Biopower Investment AG, a special AIF, which invests in sustainable and regenerative energy production. Erste Biopower Investment AG is managed by CAVENTES Kapitalverwaltungsgesellschaft, Hamburg.
The biomethane plant in Eggolsheim is a joint project of Nuremberg-based N-ERGIE Aktiengesellschaft and Regnitzstromverwertung Aktiengesellschaft, an electricity purchasing company of the cities of Erlangen and Forchheim. The two regional companies founded the respective GmbH in 2010 in equal shares. With a gas output of around 5 megawatts, the plant produces around 31 million kilowatt hours of biomethane per year and also feeds in around 3 million kilowatt hours of electricity.
Legal advice to both companies was provided by a GÖRG team led by Berlin partners Dr. Roland Hoffmann-Theinert and Dr. Ünsal Demir by way of a complex share deal involving the replacement of existing bank financing.
