15.12.2016

[Berlin, ] GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB has been advising Commerz Real AG on its acquisition of an as yet unbuilt hotel and serviced apartment complex from the Star Inn brand. The vendor is the developer S.I.E. Soini  Immobilienentwicklung, based in Ottobrunn. A team from GÖRG, led by Jan Lindner-Figura and including in particular Mr. Silvio Sittner, provided support to Commerz Real AG in the matter of legal due diligence and in negotiating the purchase contract and tenancy agreement.

Once completed in the first half of 2018, the building in Heidelberg will comprise 300 rooms – 215 of them in the hotel, the remainder serviced apartments – along with 94 parking spaces. It has a total rental area of approximately 14,600 m2 2 and is located in the centre of the city, close to the main railway station.

The purchase of the building by Commerz Real AG is one of many transactions that are currently a feature of the German real estate market. GÖRG regularly advises clients on the acquisition and disposal of larger office complexes and shopping centres. Among recent transactions has been the acquisition of a portfolio of retail premises comprising 13 buildings in 11 German cities and the purchase of the Neue Mitte Fürth shopping centre in Bavaria.
