GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB advised AVIA AG on the signing of contracts with Shell Deutschland GmbH and BayWa AG for the acquisition of shares in OLF Deutschland GmbH. On November 11, 2022, the closing of the transaction took place after approval by the relevant antitrust authorities.
Since its founding in 2018, OLF Deutschland GmbH has enabled digital trading of heating and fuels in Germany with its B2B online trading platform OnlineFuels. With the help of the new foundation of a joint venture, the partners and new shareholders AVIA, Shell and BayWa want to further accelerate the expansion of OnlineFuels in order to further increase the attractiveness of the digital trading platform for customers. The plan is to steadily advance the digitalization of energy trading with the development of additional offerings.
A GÖRG team led by experienced Munich partner Dr. Stefan Heyder provided corporate and antitrust advice and expertise to AVIA AG in the transaction.
