Handbook ‘ESG in restructuring and insolvency’

Hamburg, 20.12.2024

his handbook is the first comprehensive work to provide an insight into the complex world of ESG in the context of restructuring and insolvency administration. Our partner Sandra Felicia Schramm has dealt with the topic of ‘Insolvency labour law aspects related to ESG’ in chapter 7.  This generally deals with the question of the extent to which ESG obligations must be taken into account during restructuring and insolvency.

Find out more about social sustainability in the employment relationship and compliance with the statutory ESG requirements by the contractual employer or the insolvency administrator. It also discusses how labour law can be implemented in connection with environmental social governance as an objective and means of restructuring and how this relates to the termination of the employment relationship.

It is edited by Prof Dr Stefan Thönissen, LL.M., Professor of Private Law at the Institute for Civil Law and Civil Procedure Law, Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg.
