The insolvency administrator lawyer Sebastian Krapohl, partner at the law firm GÖRG, found a buyer for the insolvent Stratus Global Trans GmbH. The locations in Stuttgart and Weilheim/Teck will be retained and 112 jobs have been secured.
Stratus Global Trans GmbH, based in Stuttgart and Weilheim/Teck, is a renowned transport service provider with over 110 employees for southern German. The company is specialized in the efficient handling of logistics processes and the implementation of customer-oriented solutions for the growing challenges of modern logistics. Its customers include well-known German retail and logistics service providers. In December 2024, the company filed for the opening of insolvency proceedings at Stuttgart Local Court. The main reasons for this were lower transport orders from customers combined with increased personnel and vehicle costs.
“The successful sale within a very short time after filing for insolvency is something I am very very satisfied with. After intensive negotiations, we have found a good and sustainable solution for the company. With CargoConnect, we have found a buyer that will continue both the administrative activities in Stuttgart and the operational activities at the Weilheim/Teck site. We have thus succeeded in preserving all jobs,” explained lawyer Sebastian Krapohl, who was appointed insolvency administrator by the Stuttgart Local Court on 1 February 2025.
Sebastian Krapohl was advised by a team from allea consult GmbH on the operational continuation of the business as part of the insolvency proceedings.
