The H&F Group, a leading family-owned company specialised in pectin production based in Neuenbürg (Germany) and world market leader in apple pectin, has acquired the pectin business of Naturex from Givaudan SA (Vernier, Switzerland). With the acquisition of Givaudan's pectin business H&F Group further strengthened its position in its core markets in Europe, North America and the Middle East. Givaudan - with annual sales of more than EUR 6 billion - sold its pectin business to focus more strongly on its core business, the production of flavours and aromas.
For the cross-border transaction, GÖRG was able to rely on its Europe-wide network of independent law firms on behalf of the H&F Group and provided lead management for the transaction. Confidentiality was agreed on the details of the transaction.
