Under the leadership of Munich partner Dr. Philipp Grzimek and Dr. Bernhard A. Guthy, GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten has advised the Summitas Group on four further company acquisitions. The Summitas Group, a joint venture of Bain Capital Insurance, Canada Life and JDC Group AG, is once again relying on GÖRG's legal advice in implementing its growth strategy with the aim of creating an integrated insurance broker.
The Summitas Group covers a wide range of insurance services and regions in Germany and aims to become one of the leading integrated insurance brokers in the German-speaking region with a focus on commercial and corporate clients.
The most recent acquisitions on which GÖRG advised are Eichhorn Walzock & Partner GmbH and the associated BAGO GmbH, both based in Berlin and previously owned by cpx Makler GmbH. Kamke Versicherungsmakler GmbH, based in Hanover, was also acquired. The family-run company is strengthening its pension business with a client portfolio based primarily in Lower Saxony.
Two further takeovers in which GÖRG's expertise was in demand came from Würzburg in Lower Franconia: with the takeover of VBH GmbH, the Summitas Group acquired a specialist broker with a focus on the construction and trades sector, and with Policenwerk GmbH Co & KG, an underwriting agent expanded the product and service portfolio of the rapidly growing broker group.
The renewed cooperation between GÖRG and the Summitas Group underlines the firm's M&A expertise in the finance and insurance sectors.
