GÖRG’s Frankfurt office expands: high-powered corporate real estate team joins GÖRG

26.01.2017

[Frankfurt, ] As of 1 February 2017, the well-respected real estate lawyer Ingo Winterstein will move to Görg’s Frankfurt office as a partner, while Dr Gero Pfeiffer will be an of-counsel lawyer. They will be followed by Dr Moritz Vettermann, who will join us as associate. All of them will be coming from Morgan Lewis.

Ingo Winterstein was admitted to legal practice in 1989 and appointed a notary in 2009. He was a partner at the international law firm of Hogan Lovells for many years before becoming a partner at Morgan Lewis in mid-2011. Complex real estate transactions form the mainstay of his legal practice and in this area he has been the lead adviser in a series of significant transactions in the past. He also advises clients in the areas of project development, heritable building rights and condominium ownership structures, open and closed-end funds, international joint ventures and restructuring of real estate projects. In the case of the last-named, this is also done in connection with insolvencies. Mr Winterstein’s clients include German and international funds, asset managers, investors, banks and insurance companies. In addition, Mr Winterstein is an experienced transactional notary. His notarial work focuses on real property and corporate law.

Dr Gero Pfeiffer advises on real property and corporate law as well as in the fields of M&A and reorganisations. His clients include national and international companies in various industries and service sectors, in particular life sciences, the automotive sector, real estate and financial services. Before he joined Morgan Lewis, he spent over six years as an associate at Latham & Watkins. Dr Pfeiffer has published numerous articles on real estate and corporate law. He has also been a notary since 2013.

Dr Moritz Vettermann also advises on real property and corporate law as well as M&A. He has successfully established himself as a specialist in respect of real estate transactions and, as a native English speaker, he adds his international experience and expertise in the real estate industry and company/M&A areas to GÖRG’s resources.

Winterstein, Pfeiffer and Vettermann have worked closely together during the last few years to service the needs of many prestigious clients.

The addition of the trio will significantly strengthen the firm’s Frankfurt location in the important areas of real estate law and corporate/M&A as well as in respect of reorganisations/restructuring. This is true both with regard to its legal practice as well as its notarial practice. GÖRG’s addition of the team is part of its strategic efforts to increase the ongoing competitiveness of its branch office. “In these three colleagues, we have found just the right people to expand our experienced and highly qualified team of lawyers operating at the interface of real estate and corporate law at our Frankfurt office. GÖRG is now in a position to enter the market, with its own team, from the important Frankfurt real estate location as well and thus to strengthen the firm’s corporate real estate expertise on an ongoing basis”, said the managing partner at the Frankfurt office Dr Roland Hoffmann-Theinert. Ingo Winterstein believes that collaboration with teams of GÖRG’s experts throughout Germany, especially with its highly respected experts in real estate and corporate law, will lead to opportunities to provide current and future clients with first-class, professional and extensive advice. “We look forward to the move and working with our new colleagues at Görg in the future”, said Winterstein.
