GÖRG has advised the Osnabrück-based biotech start-up seedalive GmbH on the legal aspects of a seed financing round under the lead of Hamburg partner Prof Dr Stephan R. Göthel. Oyster Bay Venture Capital from Hamburg has joined as a new shareholder.
seedalive was founded in 2021 by Jens Varnskühler and Prof Dr Klaus Mummenhoff and has developed a new, efficient and reproducible method for predicting the germination capacity of plant seeds.
The aim of the financing in seedalive is to strengthen further research and development as well as sales.
Oyster Bay Venture Capital is a Hamburg-based venture capital firm that invests in start-ups working to solve challenges along the food value chain - from agricultural technology, ingredients, production, packaging and waste to the consumer and subsequent consumption.
Prof Dr Stephan R. Göthel has been advising seedalive on all legal issues since its foundation as well as in this financing round. He also advises companies from a wide range of sectors, from start-ups to market leaders, as well as investors in the areas of M&A, private equity/venture capital and corporate law. Stephan R.
