GÖRG announces four new partners

Köln, 26.04.2021

The Partners' Meeting of GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB resolved on 23 April 2021 to include Dr. Robert Brahmstaedt, LL.M, Dr. Christian Bürger, Dr. Andrea Kirsch and Dr. Martin Nentwig in the firm's equity partnership. The appointments are retroactive to 1 January 2021.

Dr. Robert Brahmstaedt, LL.M. (University of Sydney) has been with GÖRG since 2013 and advises nationally and internationally active companies as well as banks in all matters of insolvency and corporate law at the Hamburg office. He specialises in restructuring financings, trusteeships and distressed M&A, with a focus on the renewable energy, shipping and shipping company sectors.

Dr. Christian Bürger has been working in GÖRG's Cologne office in the field of European and German antitrust law since 2009. He advises companies on investment control under the Foreign Trade and Payments Act (Außenwirtschaftsgesetz) and has many years of experience in merger control proceedings, cartel and abuse of dominance cases, antitrust damages actions as well as compliance systems and related employee training.

Dr. Andrea Kirsch advises clients in the area of IT & Outsourcing with a focus on data protection law. The specialist lawyer for information technology law began her career in 2009 at GÖRG's Berlin office. As a data protection officer (TÜV®) and FOM-certified data protection risk manager, she assists companies in implementing data protection law requirements and legally compliant data processing.

Dr. Martin Nentwig works at the Berlin office as well. He has been advising nationally and internationally active companies in the areas of corporate law and M&A at GÖRG since 2010. His work focuses on transactions, restructurings and shareholder disputes in the real estate, food & beverage, IT and health care sectors. In addition, Martin Nentwig has been a notary since his appointment in 2020.

"We congratulate the new partners and warmly welcome them to the partnership," says Dr. Christian Wolf, one of the firm's three managing partners. "The fact that we are once again able to appoint several outstanding colleagues from our own ranks reinforces our conviction that we will continue to consistently focus on promoting young talent. With Andrea Kirsch, we are also appointing a part-time partner for the first time. This shows that the goal of being attractive for female lawyers at all career levels is becoming increasingly important at GÖRG."

At the beginning of the year, GÖRG's career committee had already announced the appointment of four counsels and five associated partners from its own ranks, who have thus reached the next step on the career ladder towards equity partnership.
