GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB advised Ampega Asset Management GmbH, Cologne (Ampega), on behalf of three HDI Group companies on the acquisition of a 50% stake in a project company of HanseMerkur Grundvermögen AG, which secured the "EDGE ElbSide" office project in Hamburg's HafenCity by way of a forward deal. Following two successful joint ventures in 2019 and 2020, the third investment between the two parties has now been concluded.
The "EDGE ElbSide" office building will include approximately 20,600 m² of office space, around 1,300 m² of restaurant and retail space, and an underground car park with around 107 parking spaces that will be pre-equipped for e-charging points. The building will be equipped with smart building technologies. The property will receive the Green Building certificates HafenCity Platinum and Well Core & Shell Gold. The main tenant of approximately 81% of the space is Vattenfall. Completion of the project is scheduled for 2023.
