Reorganisation of CANTEC – creditors approve insolvency plan

Essen, 28.06.2021

The creditors of Cantec GmbH &. Co. KG almost unanimously accepted the proposed insolvency plan for the restructuring of the company on 18 June 2021. GÖRG Partner Nils Meißner acted as trustee in the insolvency proceedings of the Essen-based company. Advice to the management in self-administration was provided by Dr. Marc d'Avoine and Paul Michels of ATN Rechtsanwälte.

Due to the worldwide corona-related decline in demand, the machine and plant manufacturer had to file for insolvency in self-administration at the Essen Local Court. The court then appointed Nils Meißner, a specialist lawyer for insolvency law, as trustee. Together with the management and the advisors of ATN Rechtsanwälte, a restructuring concept was developed in the last months, which fully convinced the creditors of the long-established company. With the approval of the insolvency plan, the reorganisation and continuation of Cantec GmbH &. Co. KG is now assured.
