Dorsch Group takes over engineering office Spiekermann

Düsseldorf, 28.10.2020

With economic effect from 01.11.2020, the Dorsch Group takes over Spiekermann GmbH Consulting Engineers as part of an asset deal.

Spiekermann GmbH Consulting Engineers is one of the most renowned German engineering companies. Its range of services covers the fields of transport, environment, water, building construction and civil engineering. In 2019 it generated a turnover of around 16 million euros and employs around 180 people. In mid-July 2020, Spiekermann had applied for the opening of insolvency proceedings in self-administration. The Düsseldorf local court appointed Georg F. Kreplin (Kreplin & Partner Rechtsanwälte) as provisional administrator. GÖRG partner Holger Rhode and associated partner Christian Schulze were appointed by the company as general representatives and support the management in the context of self-administration. As a result of the asset deal, over 90% of the jobs will be saved.

With about 2,000 employees, the Dorsch Gruppe is one of the largest independent planning and consulting groups in Germany and is represented internationally with several branches and a large number of project offices in more than 40 countries. The range of services includes the specialist areas of airports, transport & infrastructure, water & environment, building and urban development, oil & gas, development cooperation and asset management. The Dorsch Gruppe implements about 1,000 projects per year.
