GÖRG advises Amphenol Group on acquisition of shares in Friedrich Göhringer Elektrotechnik GmbH

[Hamburg, ] A team from GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB, headed by Hamburg partner Dr. Frank Evers in association with a French law firm, advised the Amphenol Group on its acquisition of shares in Friedrich Göhringer Elektrotechnik GmbH through a French subsidiary.

Friedrich Göhringer Elektrotechnik GmbH sells and distributes terminal blocks. Amphenol has acquired the company in order to expand its product range and technology, as well as its customer base and production opportunities.

About the Amphenol Group

Amphenol operates globally as a manufacturer of connector systems. The company develops, produces and distributes electrical, electronic and glass fibre connector systems and connectors, antennae, sensors and coaxial and special cables. These products are used primarily in the following sectors: information technology and data communications, mobile telephones, mobile networks, broadband communications, military and commercial aviation and the automotive industry. Its parent company, Amphenol Corp., is quoted on the New York stock exchange. In the last financial year (calendar year 2015), Amphenol achieved a global turnover of approximately EUR 5532 billion. Of this, about EUR 971 million was attributable to the 28 member states of the European Union, including some EUR 253 million to Germany.
