Wölfer Motoren GmbH, with its registered office in Osnabrück, filed an application for the opening of insolvency proceedings over its assets in self-administration with the competent Osnabrück Local Court on 29 June 2023. The insolvency court appointed GÖRG partner Caroline Stevens, LL.M. (corp. restruc) as provisional trustee by order dated 30 June 2023.
The debtor was founded in 2022 and acquired the business operations of the insolvent Franz Wölfer Elektromaschinenfabrik Osnabrück GmbH only in September. Due to difficulties in the supply chains and an associated decline in turnover, the company got into payment difficulties.
The debtor has 49 employees whose wages and salaries are secured until August 2023 through the insolvency benefits of the Federal Employment Agency.
The company is being advised and represented in the preliminary self-administration proceedings by the law firm WallnerWeiß. The team of the trustee is complemented by the experienced insolvency specialist Dr. Mike Westkamp. The goal of all parties involved is now to stabilise the business operations and to initiate an orderly investor process.
