GÖRG has provided legal advice to the shareholders of PLANAT GmbH in the sale to GSG GENII Software Group (GENII), a portfolio company of funds advised by Bregal Unternehmerkapital (BU) and Elvaston. PLANAT is one of the largest independent providers of ERP software for the manufacturing mid-market.
A GÖRG team led by Dr Bernt Paudtke supported the shareholders of PLANAT throughout the transaction process with GENII.
Founded in Stuttgart in 1981, PLANAT has been developing and implementing its scalable ERP standard software FEPA, a "Made in Germany" solution for the manufacturing mid-market, for over 40 years. In addition to software solutions, PLANAT also offers consulting and services, including industry-specific consultancy, project management, and support.
GENII provides industry-specific software solutions and services for mid-sized companies and public administrations. The company's focus is on European markets, particularly the DACH region, Scandinavia, the Benelux countries, the UK, and Italy. GENII employs over 2,800 people across more than 25 locations, with a combined group revenue exceeding €400 million.
BU is a leading investment company in the DACH region, with offices in Munich, Zug, and Milan. The funds focus on investing in mid-sized companies headquartered in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Northern Italy. Currently, BU manages approximately €7 billion (including binding capital commitments).
