GÖRG advises con|energy ag on sale of ener|gate to dfv Mediengruppe

Cologne, 07.07.2022

GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB advised con|energy ag on the sale of the energy business medium ener|gate to dfv Mediengruppe in the course of an international bidding process. The parties agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

Since July 1, 2022, the B2B media brand ener|gate is a wholly owned subsidiary of dfv Mediengruppe. With the takeover of the trade medium, including the management and all employees, dfv is opening up the energy market as a new business sector. The portfolio of the business media house based in Frankfurt am Main already includes more than 80 media brands from various sectors of the economy.

ener|gate was founded in 2000 by con|energy ag, a consulting and service company for the energy industry, and has since developed into a leading information provider in the German-speaking energy market with almost 50 employees.

A GÖRG team led by experienced Cologne partner Dr. Wolfgang König provided comprehensive legal advice to con|energy ag throughout the sale process. The dfv Mediengruppe was supported in the legal implementation by Ernst & Young Law GmbH under the lead management of Andreas Stock, Head of the Legal Department.
