The gearbox specialist C.u.W. Keller GmbH & Co. KG had to file for insolvency at the local court of Bonn beginning of April 2019. Since filing for insolvency, the (preliminary) insolvency administrator Dr. Jörg Bornheimer from the law firm GÖRG Rechtsanwälte and C.u.W. Keller’s management have successfully managed to stabilize the company’s operating business with the support of key customers, suppliers and employees.
At the same time, the (preliminary) insolvency administrator and the (preliminary) creditor’s committee initiated a structured international sales process to find a new investor for C.u.W. Keller. Potential investors already submitted first expressions of interest in evaluating an acquisition. In the next few days, PwC will conduct a broader market approach to find a new investor until end of July 2019. “Due to its good market positioning and the positive feedback so far, we are confident to find a new investor for C.u.W. Keller, who continues the company’s business operations in the future”, the (preliminary) insolvency administrator Dr. Bornheimer stated.
