AD Education is a French leader of higher education in art professions, design, culture and communications. Before the acquisition of HMKW, AD Education Group already had more than 15,000 students spread across seven institutions and eleven campuses in France and Italy. Courses include fashion design, communication strategy and architecture.
AD Education is a portfolio company of Paris based private equity fund Cathay Capital.
Established in 2008, HMKW is a private university of applied sciences with more than 1,600 students and campuses in Berlin, Cologne and Frankfurt. The bachelor and master programs focus on media-related studies and include design, journalism and communication as well as psychology and business administration.
