GÖRG Partner Appointments

Köln, 13.05.2019

GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB decided at the partners' meeting on 10 May 2019 to appoint Dr. Mike Westkamp (Wuppertal) to equity partner. In addition, lawyer Corinna Struck (Hamburg) and lawyers Dr. John-Patrick Bischoff, LL.M. (Hamburg), Dr. Martin Nentwig (Berlin) and Christopher J. Wright, J.D., LL.M. (Berlin) were appointed salary partner.

Dr. Mike Westkamp joined GÖRG in 2009 and works on insolvency and restructuring matters in Münster, Wuppertal, Hagen, Cologne and Bonn. The specialist lawyer advises companies in the field of restructuring and reorganisation, in particular also in the health care sector.

Dr. John-Patrick Bischoff, LL.M. changed to the Hamburg office in 2013. He advises domestic and foreign corporations, financial investors and medium-sized companies on national and international M&A transactions, joint ventures and restructuring measures. In addition, Dr. Bischoff advises on all questions of corporate law and shareholder disputes.

Dr. Martin Nentwig has been working in the Berlin office since 2010. He mainly advises domestic and foreign investors on national and cross-border transactions as well as restructurings, in particular in the real estate sector. He also advises medium-sized companies on corporate law, also in the context of notarial practice as a notary's representative.

Corinna Struck joined GÖRG in Hamburg in 2010. She advises and accompanies national and international companies in the run-up to and during the implementation of sometimes highly complex legal disputes. She specialises in representing commercial, industrial and energy companies in all contractual, commercial and corporate matters. Another focus is on shareholder disputes and the conduct of bulk proceedings.

Christopher J. Wright, J.D. LL.M. (Barrister & Solicitor (Ontario, Canada)) joined the Berlin office in 2007 and advises national and international companies with a focus on mergers & acquisitions and complex corporate transactions.

"We congratulate all new partners. It is encouraging that, in addition to lateral hires, we are able to promote good young talent from within the firm. We are convinced that these talents in particular will make a significant contribution to the further successful development of our firm", says managing partner Dr. Michael Dolfen. The appointment of partners from within the firm supports the strategic expansion of the firm and reflects the corporate philosophy of transferring responsibility to lawyers and investing in their training.

In January, GÖRG had already appointed Associated Partners, taking them to the next level on the career ladder to partnership: Dr. Said W. Ashrafnia (Corporate, Frankfurt am Main), Markus Beyer, LL.M. (Corporate, Frankfurt am Main), Caroline Stevens, LL.M.
