[Cologne, ] GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB has successfully advised Trianel Erneuerbare Energien GmbH & Co. KG on the acquisition of eleven wind farm projects from ABO Wind AG. The wind farm projects are being jointly developed by Stadtwerke-Kooperation Trianel and ABO Wind AG.
The wind farm portfolio consists of 11 wind farm projects spread throughout Germany with a total capacity of approx. 182 MW. The projects are at different stages of development and are made up of systems from different manufacturers. ABO Wind AG will take over the technical management after the realisation of the individual wind farm projects. The acquisition of the wind farm portfolio took place partly through the acquisition of project rights (asset deal) and partly through the acquisition of shares in an operating company (share deal).
GÖRG advised Trianel Erneuerbare Energien GmbH & Co. KG on all legal issues in connection with the transaction. The GÖRG team consisted of Dr. Ruth Büchl-Winter, Michael Winkelhog (Corporate), Thoralf Herbold (Permits), Dr. Judith Thümmel (Property situation). The lead was provided by Jan Schellenberger and Dr. Wibke Schmacher, who also structured the project contracts and negotiated together with Trianel. As early as 2016, GÖRG advised Trianel Erneuerbare Energien GmbH & Co. KG on the acquisition of the Uckley and Buchenau wind farms projected by ABO Wind AG with a total output of approx. 50 MW.
