[Frankfurt, ] GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB has advised BMC Europe Fund I (“Beautiful Mind Capital“, or “BMC”) under the lead of partner and head of the firm’s China desk, Florian Wolff, on its first investment with the acquisition of Cordenka Group from Chequers Capital.
BMC is an independent private equity fund established in early 2018 in partnership with Shanghai International Group, a Sovereign Wealth Fund in Shanghai.
BMC was supported by a group of Shanghai institutions including Shanghai Electric, Shanghai MG Investment, ABA Chemicals, Bank of Shanghai and by ABC International (a subsidiary of Agricultural Bank of China). Acquisition debt was provided by Goldman Sachs and Barings.
GÖRG, in this further transaction for Chinese investors in Germany, advised in the full process of the acquisition by a team of lawyers from its Frankfurt and Cologne offices.
