[Cologne, ] GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB has successfully advised Trianel Erneuerbare Energien GmbH & Co. KG on the acquisition of a new wind farm in Brandenburg. With the acquisition of the Uckley wind farm, Trianel Erneuerbare Energien GmbH & Co. KG, which is owned by 38 municipal utility companies and regional energy suppliers, has added its largest wind farm to-date to its portfolio. The Uckley wind farm consists of ten Nordex N131/3300 wind turbines, whose total rated capacity is 33 megawatts. The seller of the wind farm is ABO Wind AG, which was responsible for planning and erecting it. The wind farm was purchased through the acquisition of the shares of the operating company.
GÖRG provided Trianel with advice on all legal issues relating to the transaction. GÖRG’s team of lawyers was made up of Dr. Ruth Büchl-Winter (Corporate/Tax), Katharina Reiners, Dr. Judith Vergoßen, Thorsten Kirch (who handled the real estate law aspects), Thoralf Herbold (Permits/Renewable Energy Sources Legislation) as well as Dr. Christoph Riese, Julia Helm and Dr. Sandra Flemming (who handled the procedure for obtaining the necessary pollution control permit). The team was headed by Jan Schellenberger, who was also responsible for negotiating the structuring of the project agreements.
