GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB advised the Landkreis Aurich Eigenbetrieb Rettungsdienst on the awarding of rescue services for the island of Norderney.
The subject of the tender was the award of rescue services in accordance with the Lower Sax-ony Rescue Services Act, including maintenance of the rescue station provided by the client and provision of the necessary rescue equipment for the island of Norderney. The catchment area of the Norderney rescue station includes not only the residents of the island of Norderney but also the approximately 600,000 tourists who visit the island every year.
In addition to covering the rescue service requirements in accordance with the Lower Saxony Rescue Service Act, the tender was also intended to cover aspects of ensuring a high level of availability of rescue services and dealing with the special features of the island of Norderney, such as beach rescue.
The successful conclusion of the award procedure was preceded by a negotiated procedure with a preliminary competition in which four companies submitted a bid. In order to provide the highest possible quality of rescue services, the bidders also had to provide information on the vehicles and rescue equipment to be used with regard to the island location and submit a per-sonnel concept with their bid.
A GÖRG team led by Alexander Pustal assisted the Landkreis Aurich Eigenbetrieb Rettung-sdienst with advice on procurement and contract law throughout the entire project.
