GÖRG advises Fiege Group on the sale of its International Freight Forwarding segment

GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB, under the lead management of M&A partner Dr. Christoph Niemeyer, advised the Fiege Group on the sale of its International Freight Forwarding (IFF) business unit as well as the Forwarding Business in Far East. The buyer is AIT Worldwide Logistics based in Chicago, USA. The closing of the transaction is scheduled to take place on 29 December 2020.

In order to fully exploit the considerable potential of the International Freight Forwarding business, Fiege had been looking for a partner who gives customers access to an expanded service portfolio and an even larger network. A strategic alliance has now been formed with AIT Worldwide Logistics to drive the further growth of the international transport business.

A total of eleven companies in eight different jurisdictions were sold.
