In addition, two GÖRG partners were honoured with the "Lawyer Of The Year" award: Dr. Jan Peter Scharf, partner at GÖRG's Hamburg office and specialist lawyer for public procurement law, was honoured in the area of "Public Law", while Prof. Dr. Torsten Martini, specialist lawyer for insolvency and restructuring law in the Berlin and Cologne office, received the award for "Restructuring and Insolvency Law".

For the 14th time and exclusively for the Handelsblatt Group, Best Lawyers has determined the most renowned legal advisors in Germany on the basis of a peer-to-peer procedure. For the purposes of this procedure, participation in the survey was limited to lawyers who were asked for their opinion on the professional skills of their competitors. Best Lawyers is considered the US market leader in lawyer ratings. These Rankings have a long tradition in the US and Best Lawyers has been publishing the lists for over three decades, starting in 1983.

An overview of the awarded partners and lawyers as well as the entire Best Lawyers ranking can be found at www.bestlawyers.com and handelsblatt.com.
