GÖRG advises Ufenau Capital and Hanseatic Power Service GmbH on expansion of financing

GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB advised on the expansion of the financing of Hanseatic Power Service GmbH (HPS Group) in connection with the restructuring of the shareholder structure.

With the help of the financing, the Ufenau V and Ufenau VI funds, advised by Ufenau Capital Partners, sold and transferred their entire stake in the HPS Group to the Ufenau Continuation 4 fund, also advised by Ufenau.

A GÖRG team led by Cologne partner Dr. Thomas Lange provided banking and finance advice to Ufenau and the HPS Group on the complex financing. GÖRG also provided comprehensive advice on the corporate law part of the successful transaction led by experienced private equity lawyer Dr. Tobias Fenck.

The HPS Group, based in Rendsburg, is a service group in the industrial sector with a focus on repair, overhaul and maintenance of generators, electric motors and electrical equipment, such as crane systems & aggregates from the shipping, biogas and railway sectors. The entry of Ufenau took place in 2018 and the portfolio now consists of six group companies at nine locations and employs over 200 people in Germany. 

For years, the Swiss investor group Ufenau has regularly relied on the proven expertise of GÖRG n the context of financings and transactions in the German market.
