GÖRG announces eight new partners

On 24 April 2020, the Partners' Meeting resolved to include Dr. John-Patrick Bischoff, LL.M. (Hamburg), Oliver Dankert, LL.M. (Pinneberg), Dr. Heiko Hofmann (Frankfurt), Dr. Gero Pfeiffer (Frankfurt) and Dr. Daniel Schmitz (Cologne) in the equity partnership. In addition, Dr. Andrea Zimmermann (Cologne), Dr. Christian Schröder (Munich) and Dr. Lars Weber, M.C.L. (Frankfurt) were appointed as salary partners.

Dr. John-Patrick Bischoff, LL.M. joined GÖRG in Hamburg in 2013. He advises corporations, financial investors and medium-sized companies on national and international M&A transactions, joint ventures and structural measures under transformation law. Dr. Bischoff also advises on all questions of corporate law and shareholder disputes.

Oliver Dankert, LL.M. also joined GÖRG in 2013 with a larger unit. He has been appointed insolvency administrator by several insolvency courts in Northern Germany since 2009 and advises companies from various industries on reorganisation and restructuring. He focuses on the areas of trade and services, infrastructure, logistics and IT.

Dr. Heiko Hofmann has been with GÖRG since 2009 and advises companies and public authorities at the Frankfurt office in the area of public commercial law, in particular German and European public procurement law. He specialises in advising on public procurement law in connection with complex procurement procedures in the construction, supply and service sector as well as in concession awards in the energy sector.

Dr. Gero Pfeiffer joined the Frankfurt GÖRG office in 2017 and works primarily as a notary. His focus is on the finance and insurance sector as well as on M&A transactions.

Dr. Daniel Schmitz began his career in 2013 in the renowned Cologne restructuring team. He advises companies on all aspects of insolvency law. In addition, he has considerable experience in restructuring advice in particular and supports the parties involved in all stages of restructuring. A further focus of his work is litigation in insolvency-related matters.

Dr. Andrea Zimmermann joined GÖRG in Cologne in 2016. She has extensive experience in supporting national and international M&A and private equity transactions, in advising on refinancing, restructuring and joint ventures.

Dr. Christian Schröder has been a member of the Munich-based GÖRG team since 2008. He advises companies and investors on corporate law and M&A transactions, private equity & venture capital and capital markets law. In addition, he has extensive expertise in the real estate and technology sector and is a mentor for young companies.

Dr. Lars Weber, M.C.L. joined GÖRG in 2014 and advises on all aspects of corporate law and on national and international transactions, including joint ventures. In addition, Dr. Weber acts in connection with corporate law disputes (corporate / M&A litigation). His industry focus is on finance and insurance, media and entertainment as well as healthcare & life sciences.

At the beginning of the year, GÖRG had already appointed 13 Associated Partners and one Counsel, who have thus reached the next step on the career ladder towards an equity partnership.
Kristin Brocker, LL.M. was also announced as a partner at GÖRG Insolvenzverwaltung Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB.
