GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB, under the lead management of Cologne partner and energy law specialist Thoralf Herbold, advised EB - Sustainable Investment Management GmbH (EB-SIM) in the course of the change of ownership of two hydropower plants in Germany. In this context, an investment fund advised by EB-SIM acquired a full stake in the Raguhn hydropower plant in Saxony-Anhalt and a fifty percent stake in the Weserkraftwerk in Bremen by way of a share deal.
In the course of the change of ownership, the corresponding shares in the operating companies of both hydropower plants were also transferred from the wind turbine manufacturer ENERCON GmbH to the investment fund. The Raguhn hydropower plant has been in operation since 2009 and has a rated output of 2 megawatts. The Weser power plant in Bremen has been in operation since 2011 and has a rated output of 10 megawatts. Here, the fund advised by EB-SIM is entering into an existing joint venture with swb AG.
GÖRG successfully advised EB-SIM on all legal issues in connection with the transaction and accompanied the acquisition process.
