GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB, led by partner Dr. Thomas Lange, advised X1F GmbH, a Munich-based portfolio company of Ufenau Capital Partners, on a refinancing. The transaction was closed on 29 November 2021.
X1F GmbH was founded in spring 2021 out of a merger of the IT consulting company IKOR in Hamburg, matrix technology AG, a Munich-based IT consulting and IT service provider, and Informationsfabrik, a Münster-based provider of data platforms. The newly founded company is already one of the leading full-service IT providers in regulated and complex customer segments such as insurance, banking and the public sector. After two further acquisitions, X1F now employs 720 people at 26 locations in ten countries in Europe, North America and Australia.
A GÖRG team led by experienced financing specialist Dr. Thomas Lange successfully assisted X1F with legal and tax advice on the refinancing. With the help of the long-term financing, the necessary flexibility with regard to future expansions and investments of the company is to be ensured. With Ufenau's backing, X1F GmbH thus intends to further advance its successful buy-and-build strategy in order to expand its position as a provider of full service IT services.
GÖRG assists Ufenau Capital Partners and its companies regularly in transactions in the German market. In 2020, a team led by private equity expert Dr. Tobias Fenck had already advised the Swiss investor group on its investments in IKOR and matrix technology AG.
