Pro Bono: GÖRG advises ProjectTogether on the funding design of projects for the integration of refugees

Hamburg, 13.10.2022

GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB advises ProjectTogether gGmbH pro bono on the task of simplifying the application for funding from the European Union's Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) 2021-2027 and breaking down barriers.

AMIF has around 1.5 billion euros available for funding projects. For smaller aid organisations, however, the funding bureaucracy often represents a major hurdle that prevents the funding of projects worthy of support. ProjectTogether gGmbH has therefore set itself the goal of submitting funding applications as a consortium leader and thus facilitating the implementation of projects in the field of integration and accompaniment of refugees for various civil society actors.

As of 1 August 2022, the AMIF Managing Authority has published the call for funding 2021-2027 for the submission of project applications. ProjectTogether gGmbH is preparing the application for the current funding period in cooperation with other civil society actors. A pilot project will initially cover the area of integration and support for refugees. After an evaluation, the model is to be further expanded and supplemented with additional applications for funding of projects in the areas of job preparation and legal counselling for refugees, among others.

A GÖRG team led by the experienced Hamburg partner Kersten Wagner-Cardenal provides legal support for the design of the funding cooperation and the application process.
