GÖRG advises Repower AG on the acquisition of the Bestwig-Berlar wind park

Cologne, 28.01.2021

GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB, under the lead management of partner Thoralf Herbold, successfully advised Repower AG (Switzerland) on the acquisition of the Bestwig-Berlar wind park in North Rhine-Westphalia. The wind park consists of five wind turbines of the type VENSYS 77 with a nominal output of 1.5 MW each. With the acquisition of the wind park, Repower AG is expanding its renewable energy portfolio in Germany, thereby setting a further example of continuous and constant growth in the field of green power generation.

The buyer of the wind park is Repartner Wind GmbH, a group company of Repower AG. The seller is Vensys Energy AG, based in Neunkirchen. The commercial and technical management of the wind park, which produces approx. 14.4 gigawatt hours of clean electricity per year for 3,200 households, will be carried out by the buyer.

GÖRG advised Repower AG on all legal issues in connection with the transaction. In addition, GÖRG also provided comprehensive advice on tax issues as well as the integration of the operating company into the Repower group under company law.
