The experienced GÖRG restructuring experts Dr Michael Schaumann and Dr Mike Westkamp have been appointed as general agents to support the management of Lindlar-based MSSC Ahle GmbH. Dr Jan Janßen is also on hand in an advisory capacity. At the end of June 2024, the management of the automotive supplier filed an application for the opening of insolvency proceedings under self-administration with the competent local court in Cologne.
With around 140 employees, MSSC Ahle GmbH from Lindlar specialises in the production of suspension springs, brake springs and tension stop springs for the automotive industry. Since its foundation in 1904, the company has been a partner to the automotive industry and other sectors, and has developed pioneering innovations such as the mini block spring and the super progressive spring.
Business operations at the long-established company will continue as normal. ‘We will continue to supply our customers as usual during the proceedings,’ says Managing Director Götz Peter Ander. The aim now is to make the long-established company fit for the future and, as part of a structured investor process, to find an investor in the near future who will continue along the path that has been set in motion to preserve the company and jobs.
The business operations of MSSC Ahle GmbH will continue without restriction. Lawyer Marion Rodine (Runkel Rechtsanwälte) has been appointed provisional administrator by the competent insolvency court.
