GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB has advised X1F Group, a portfolio company of Ufenau VI German Asset Light, SLP, which is advised by Ufenau Capital Partners AG, on the acquisition of ADWEKO Consulting GmbH and its subsidiaries in the UK, USA, Canada and Hungary. With this acquisition, the holding company is expanding its portfolio of IT services for the finance and insurance industry in the area of business processes.
X1F GmbH was founded in spring 2021 from a merger of several IT providers: The IT consulting company and platform integrator IKOR in Hamburg, matrix technology, a Munich-based IT consulting and IT service provider, and IKOR Informationsfabrik GmbH, a Münster-based expert in data analysis and artificial intelligence.
With ADWEKO Consulting, a leading IT consultancy and software provider specialising in risk management and analysis of regulatory and supervisory requirements for the banking and insurance industries has now joined as the fifth company. Founded in 2008 and based in Walldorf, Germany, the company is another building block in Ufenau's successful buy-&-build strategy to expand X1F's position as one of the leading IT service providers offering customers full service digitalisation from a single source.
A GÖRG team led by private equity specialists Dr Tobias Fenck and Dr Andrea Zimmermann provided legal advice to X1F on the investment. GÖRG has regularly supported Ufenau and its portfolio companies in transactions in the German market for years. Dr. Tobias Fenck and Dr. Andrea Zimmermann had already advised the Swiss investor group on the investments in and the merger of IKOR, matrix technology and IKOR Informationsfabrik.
