GÖRG accompanies insolvent Deutsche Lichtmiete in successful sale

Hamburg, 01.09.2022

Insolvency administrator Rüdiger Weiß signed a purchase agreement for the "Deutsche Lichtmiete" Group on 31 August 2022. This secures the continuation of the "Deutsche Lichtmiete" business operations. The buyer is "DLM Deutsche Leuchtmittel GmbH", a company of the One Square Group from Munich.

The signing of the contract was preceded by a decision of the creditors' committees of the "Deutsche Lichtmiete" Group a good week ago. In a joint meeting, the committee members had instructed insolvency administrator Rüdiger Weiß to enter into final negotiations with One Square for a continuation solution.

The final negotiations with One Square have now been brought to a successful conclusion. The creditors' committees have already approved the purchase agreements. The transfer of operations will take place on 1 September 2022. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

A GÖRG team led by Hamburg partner Harald Ick, LL.M., assisted the insolvency administration with comprehensive legal advice in the successful sale as part of an asset deal. The AMBG team was responsible for business management advice as well as interim management. Advice on capital market law issues was provided by Sascha Borowski, partner at Buchalik Brömmekamp. Rothschild & Co., led by Walter Cammann, acted as M&A advisor for the insolvency administration.
