Dr. Alexander Kessler has been a lawyer since 2005 and has been a partner at GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB in Cologne since 2014. From the very beginning of his career, Dr. Kessler has focused entirely on corporate law. With his LL.M. education at the University of Virginia, his admission to the bar in the State of New York and as a specialist lawyer for international business law, he has a strong international focus.
Dr. Kessler has particular expertise in the management and arbitration of disputes with a focus on corporate law, the ongoing support of family companies, advising on stock corporation law issues, dealing with liability issues, particularly in the area of directors' and officers' liability and corporate transactions. Dr. Kessler also acts as a central contact and coordinator for various large companies.
In the Compliance practice group, he is responsible for the areas of stock corporation and group law as well as overarching compliance issues.
Dr. Kessler is a member of the American Bar Association, the Wissenschaftliche Vereinigung für Unternehmens- und Gesellschaftsrecht (VGR) e.V. and the Mergers & Acquisitions Alumni Deutschland e.V. He is a lecturer at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster and contributes to teaching and promoting prospective lawyers in the fields of commercial law, restructuring and mergers & acquisitions.
